Wheels are ok, but suspect Oz/Halfords combo would be out of my league.

It would also be worth looking at the weight of the wheels you plan to get as it can make quite a difference. I was planning on putting OZ super tourismo or super leggiero on mine but was put off because apparently they're very heavy. I'm thinking now maybe I'll put superlites on, because although they're a bit pricey (although from what I've seen not necesarily desperately more expensive than OZ) and they got a bad write up from a few people with regard to customer service, they are very light (hence the name) and they are custom made, so no aggrivation with ofsets, PCDs and so on. Also, they're not a million miles from me, which will save on postage, and I can go and hastle them face to face if need be.

I think it depends on what you want your wheels to do/be...

Minilights are v light, loads of racers have em, don't they? But they look coolest as wide Mini wheels (in my opinion).

Does the extra weight effect normal roadgoing 7's? (A question not an fact)

Heavier alloy wheels are normally "cooler" or "sexier", with say seven thin spokes, or something on that theme.

Pays your money takes your choice. Anyone got any ideas of a happy medium?
(Ie light and trendy, not 70's and heavy!)

Have to agree with John about the bouncies, I read locostbuilders at work, and although I'm allowed to browse the web when I've got a spare however long, in theory it should at least be related to my job, which it isn't, meaning I have to be a bit more subtle about it, and having an (admitedly small and blurred) image of a cartoon character with enormous knockers could cause comments to be made, especially by the female members of staff if they were to see it.

Equally, I'm sorry to be a kill joy or appearing to crush your self expression, but could you have something a little more subtle maybe? please?

I'm not having a go gjn, and if you really wanna keep it, fine, I'll find a way around it.

I'm gonna have to get some of those Super L's, when you say "new" how old are they? They don't look disimilar from the ones that have been out for a few years, but then I haven't looked at them in a lot of detail, and you don't see a lot of them around (possibly because they on the painful side of expensive, and possibly because they're a little to subtle for your average boy racer given the price).

Anyway, next, very important question, do they fit and are they available in 15s or 16s?

I also though masitaly VT7s would be pretty cool, but a) I think there's a bit to much metal and not enough air to suit the locost (look absolutely amazing on an Audi A3 in my opinion) and b) only appear to come in 17s and 18s, which means they're distinctly on the pimpin side, probably won't fit, and are very expensive.

Update : just checked a few weights and prices : as an example Super T 16s are the same weight as Super L 18s, jeez, that's a lot of difference.

Prices aren't as painful as I anticipated :

Super L 15s x 4 : £470.99
Super L 16s x 4 : £533.99

and finally for the loaded pimps out there :

super L III (forged) 18s x 4 : £1839.99

or even nicers (ahem) :

super L III (forged) 20 x 9.5 x4 : £2494.99

I just hope I'm not around when anybody with a set of them curbs them!!!!

No weights given for the VT7s but I'd suspect they're about the same a Super Ts.

Just checked, and those prices are inclusive of VAT and shipping.

If you open favourites, or the search, on your webpage, it should pop up on the left hand side of the screen.

With a bit of widening of the column, you can cover the avatars (as i do) and still see all the words.

And then you can take snaeky peaks.

Or just slide the screen over and the avatars gone

Or work at home like me and have this getting in the way of some real porn...
