I have chance to buy some alloys for my locost, but the holes for the wheel studs appear very large, should alloy wheels have a steel insert where the
stud comes through it looks as though they may have been removed for some reason?
thanks for any help
(they are from an escort mk2)
Ford laser alloys and Rs escort alloys need a special nut to fix them which includes a domed washer to fit the larger holes, they're about a quid
each(!) from the likes of rally design.
Cheers

Jonti, and all - lolocost don't do those wheel nuts any more, I've just had my cheque returned, although I see they're still advertised on their site.
Rally Design have them, or something similar, its difficult to see the small print. I'm after some too for some pepperpots I just picked up.
This is the page you want.
Purely by coincidence (honest officer !!) I have today aquired a set of five 14" 7 Spoke Ford RS Alloys in reasonable nick including nuts. Its a
long but honest story.
Anyway, if you're interested, you can have four of the wheels and the nuts for £45. I'll be posting them on the 'For Sale' Page later so if you do
want them, let me know quick.
jonti - I'll have them if no-one else pops up first!
Suppose that depends on where you are tho. e-mail, or U2U me if they've not been reserved yet.
Wheels 'n Things near Mansfield, probably Rainworth do wheelnut and studs for wheel swaps. Nephew got some for his Sierra to fit some Orion alloys.
yours, Pete.
