brake pedal travel (bias box)

Spent the evening trial fitting the master cylinders to the pedals. I cut the mc pushrods down about 8mm to get the pedal in a better position when in the up position (was leaning too far forward at quite an accute angle beforehand).

I now have approx 20mm of travel on the mc with the pedal to the floor with the bias bar level/straight.

Can anyone who has set theirs up comment if this is about right?

I still need to take the pedal box out to drill the clutch pedal for the clevis for the mastercylinder as I'm using a hydraulic concentric clutch.

Sounds somewhere near. Mine doesnt move very far on my single mc set up. As long as the brakes are fully applied with movement still to go it should be ok.

I would have thought that you require the pedal to be able to push the master cylinders to their stops.

With a bias bar this is quite important as you may need all the travel you can get if a circuit fails.

Ned , looks good but it's difficult to tell from your photos you should have a small gap each side of the pedal pivot point . The Rally Design catalogue gives a good idea how to set it up . Total gap should be 0.20" to 0.25" HTH .

Absolutely. In an ideal world, the pedal will hit a stop (adjustable if needbe) as the master cylinder(s) reach full travel.

Anything less, and you are potentially compromising the brake system...
