Hi chaps, ive just taken off a leaky girling brake master cylinder, and gonna buy a new one....but any ideas which type is best??? ive had problems with my girling ones. sticking etc, so thought id try another make. or is there any other out there worth a try. cheers

Slow down -- Girling cylinders don't stick of thier own accord something else is wrong -- Make sure you haven't been lubricating it with WD40 which is very bad for brake seals.

Clean it out check the bore for scores and fit a new kit lubricate with lots of red rubber grease to keep water out.

Most of the cylinders suitable for balance bar set ups are just straight copies of the Girling unit anyway and use the same seals and internals.

cheers for help. but when i found out the metal piston was rubbing and then stuck in the forward position, looks like its scored the bore i supose its game over for it now so i need to get another. just wondered if there was any better quality ones out there??

if its a 0.625" Land-Rover use them most Land-Rover spares places sell them pretty cheap usually some on ebay.
