
I've been out putting the front bones and uprights on this morning and a couple of things have come up.
1 With the bottom bone level (ride height) i can only get about 1.5 inch of droop before the bottom ball joint starts to bind. An open shock length
of 13 inch required for this. Does this sound about right? I expected the top bone to be the problem.
2 There would be very little travel left on the bottom bone anyway before the inner prt of the arm started binding on the pivot bracket.
3 A closed shock length of 10 or 10.5 looks like what is required.
Does this sound about right?? 1.5 inch of droop and more than enough rebound?

1.5 isnt far off right IMHO, just make sure it runs out of shocker travel before the ball joint binds, to avoid damage. When i welded my brackets on,
i made it stop droop about half an inch before the b/j bound. 
OK I measured it more acurately (sp) now and at the brake disc I have 2.5 inch of droop from a level bottom bone and a rise of 3.5 inch before the
ball joints bind.
Is this going to be OK?
With a 13" wheel and a 70 profile tyre what would be the radius from the hub centre to the ground?
I've planned on 2" droop and 4" bump, obviously if it's going to bind it's better to do it in droop than bump.
