How do you recommend i attach my brake lines onto my De-dion tube?
Drill and rivet with p clips?
self adhesive pipe clip things?
or any other method?
Im ust a bit unsure about drilling and riveting my de-dion tube!

Do what karters do, use bicycle or small m/c chain link plates, bend each end up and tack weld or braze in place. Then use ty-rap to secure to said clip - nice & tidy & durable.
You can weld mild steel tags on but you must put some rubber sleeving or windscreen washer tube over the pipe (before you flare it) to protect it ---
ideally rubber sleeve the tags also.
Other thing you could use is Jublilee clips round the de Dion tube -- again protect the brake pipe.
I just drilled and rivetted mine since I doubt a 3mm drill hole every 200mm or so is going to compromise the structure. If that was the case then the
axle was too weak to begin with IMHO.
I did weld on a little tab to fix my brake tee-piece onto.

Craig.
Here is how i have decided to do it
10x10mm ally angle attached to the de dion and then the brake pipes attached to that, that way there are less holes in the dedion tube and the brake
pipe is still held nice and firmly

why so many p clips?
SVA req is 300mm, I would tend to go a bit closer but not much.
I was going to say that but decided to keep my mouth shut...
I've got my P-clips at something like 250mm intervals so I think there are only about 3 or 4 either side of the T-piece which is in the centre.
The pipe is held very securely and looks neat as well.
I just don't like drilling any more holes than I absolutely have to...
Cheers,
Craig.
Im using copper pipe and at 300mm centres its VERY easy to bend and does not seem very secure to me.
Added to that i didnt have the information about the SVA requirements to hand so i made them as far apart as i could whilst still keeping the pipe
nice and secure.
Ahh fair enough, I'm using Kunifer (Sp?) which is much stiffer than pure copper.
Cheers,
Craig.
not a criticism I hasten to add!!!
Just looked like more work than necessary
(not that I would ever do anything like that!!
