Ok what length studs do I need for the standard 4 spoke Laser alloys on the capri back axle and front cortina hubs? Do I need special/ different nuts
for these alloys and steels i will be using to hold my car off the ground during the build?
Finally where is best to get these studs and nuts? I mean in stock and cheap not like my local motor factors!
TIA

The only studs I have found to fit the wheels are standard Mk2 Escort ones.
Nobody and I mean nobody makes new ones that have such a short shoulder to enable the conical nut to tighten up fully against the wheel - unless the
seatings for the bolts in your wheels are the flat ones - if that's the case - use Sierra wheels studs all round.
Hope that helps,

Rally Design do a whole load of studs & nuts. Generally speaking you will need 5-6 full turns of the nut to ensure security, so figure out the length by offering up your alloys and measuring the amount of thread that protrudes.
The Capri axle studs should be alright to fit them to, that's what they came off isn't it? I haven't tried mine on the cortina studs but I can't see any problem fitting them. The studs don't need to protrude as the nut goes into the taper on the rimThere are usually some on ebay
