realistic price for sierra rear end
MikeR - 21/4/06 at 08:50 AM

as the subject line, what is a realistic price for a seirra rear end, want a 3.62 diff, would prefer LSD but appreciate that adds to the cost but i've no idea how much....

I paid £50 for the lot. The calipers were in working order and the disks were ok. I thought I had a bargain.

p.s. I had to remove it myself. Although he was kind enough to stick it on his forklift and put it in the back of an estate.

Oh! I've just noticed your local. I got it from:

M & D Services
Ransome Road
Far Cotton
Northampton

They're really cheap in my experience and open 7 days a week!

Oooh, could do with a list of decent scrapys. I only know A1 on the edge of rugby. Nice to walk round but not cheap.

I too am local to this scrappy, didn't realise they were open 7 days a week though - what are the hours on a Sunday?

A word or warning though it can be VERY oily in places (big puddles). So at least take a change of shoes and ideally overalls.

Also a bit annoying that almost every windscreen has been put through, makes it messes to get interior bits, switchgear etc when there is loads of glass everywhere.

Off the shelf places are great as well but in my experience charge a lot more for the privilege.

Last time I went there (over 6 months back) they were open to about 3 on a Sunday.

Do you mean Avon Autospares? Thats just outside of Newbold in Rugby. They're a tad pricey for me.

A good place in Rugby is:

Arches Lane Auto Spares/Budget Tyres
Arches Lane
Rugby
01788 543949

They don't have as many cars, but they have what you want, parts are cheap!
