Which side is the left handed threaded hub to go on!?
I'm really confusing myself!
As per usual...
Plus should the nut be torqued up with the upright off of the car or on the car? Does it matter?
Torque figures and nut size?
I really should get a Haynes for the Sierra...
I can save money though asking you lot!
Chris.
Left threaded on the left side of the car, ie the rotation of the wheel would act to tighten if the split pin was removed, as opposed to undone and wheel disappearing from the corner of your car!
That's what I was thinking but the nut sits on the inside of the hub not outside... ?
Therefore reversing the direction of the 'undoing' ?
On the Sierra hubs. The rear left (passenger side) is left hand thread. The front right (driver side) is the left hand thread. Hope that helps.

Great. Thanks for that tri.
Any idea of torque for that nut?
Chris.
