mkcornie - 25/4/06 at 10:21 AM

I have a Mate that is braking a BMW compac and he has some lovly 18in wheels that he is selling dert cheap.
will thay fit my ford Mk hubs as that are Muilti fit wheels?

As far as I understand 18's will create 'ditch finding' handling characteristics!

Worth seeking a second opinion though.

18" will be too big i think. Some people say 17" look too big. If i could i would fit 13" as i think they suit the 7 best, unless you like bling!!

i think that it would look ok with 18s but if it will make the car handle bad then its a bad idea still not sure if thay will fit. its a shame he only wants £50 for all 4 with rubber

My bosses 7 series BMW tram lines terribly with 18" wheels on so id guess a se7en will be horrendous. In my old Golf days it was the golden rule not to go over 15" for the same reason. My ZR runs well on 15's but se7ens apparently are better with 13's. i would definitely not fit 18's even if they are cheap.

I've got 18's on my tin top, they are a bit of a rough ride, i would say to big for a se7en.

ok you have twisted my arm lol

I expect they are 5-stud, so even though they are multi fit they will be for different 5-stud PCDs. Still, if he only wants 50 quid for em, have em and sell em for 200 on ebay

Definately dont put em on a seven though! IMHO 17s look stupid enough and 18s would look and handle even worse.

apart from the ride, i'd think you'll physically struggle to get tham in the back arches.

you have to cut the complete return flange off to get 17s on. assuming they're 205 tyres, you'll still struggle for travel, and no standard cycle wings will fit right. so that'll be a no

buy them, and get them on ebay, just tell him they got nicked out of the garage

exactly what iwas thinking! buy them and flog them - a healthy return you can spend on your car!
