i,m going to make my rack mounts,i dont have any clamps or rubbers,is there a reason to use rubbers or will hard mounting be ok?
Mine is hard mounted and it seems ok to me.
I think rubber mounts are meant to isolate vibrations etc in a 'civilised' saloon car and have very little use in our type of cars. Also the
less anything can move - i.e. suspension mountings, steering rack etc. the better and more precise will be the handling etc.

sorted then
We solid mounted ours too:
I like the way my chassis has been designed (Luego) allows for easy adjustment
Oops 'Mushrooms' are wrong
The ally rack mounts shown on the Luego are from Rally Design. www.rallydesign.co.uk
Kind regards,

I made some clamps from 30x3mm strip and used a strip of lorry innertube wrapped round the rack a couple of times for the rubber.
