can anyone tell me if there is any difference between a power steering rack and a non power steering rack

Power rack has the hydraulics built into it and is powered from a pump on the engine.

Non powered is just plain as advertised. "No power steering"

And if you are actualy talking about the column, the answer to that is no, they are both the same. Chippy

Oh no they arn't!!!

The power one has a steel tube down link and a large splined clamp, the manual has a cast downlink and an escort sized splined clamp. You need a bit of both to make an extended sierra column.

dont want to know about the rack i know they are different.but i went to pick a column up from remoco a ford spares shop he said it was of a car with power steering and didnt know if they were the same or not.
