scutter - 9/4/03 at 07:31 PM

Yes I know, the local exhaust place, But seriously where can I get some grippy tyres for the locost?

What make do people prefer and how much are folks paying for them?

I've been looking at Yoko A539s, also A032rs and avon Cr500s but can't find a price for them.(Is this a bad sign that there out of my budget)

Cheers Dan.

You might like to try www.mytyres.net. Cheaper than our local fitter although you'll obviously have to get them fitted somewhere.

Are u using 13 or 15inch wheels? Cos A032's are TWICE as expensive 15" to 13". Have a hunt around the web, plenty there, also ask on the Yahoo BEC site, they know lots.

Also check out

http://www.colwaytyres.co.uk/

for cut rally slicks, very cheap though possibly not road legal.

I would also recomend GPM.. ask Steve about the A021r.. in 13" the 185x13x70 are 40ukp inc vat each.. these are what I use, they are very good and will last about 8-10k miles where 32'äs will only do about 2-5k.. depending on your right foot

Just a thought,

go to the Yokahoma bloke at any 750 meeting and youl get fitting and ballancing for £35 +vat, thats not bad for R13 185 yoko A539s.

I've always used tyres-sold-online.com. Two 185x45x15 Yoko A520s for my Fiesta used to be £90 + VAT but I suspect that's gone up since I last ordered.
