Hi all,

Can anyone explain exactly how to set Castor and Camber etc on a 7 type car in terms of which items to adjust to correct it.

I have a vague idea but a thickies guide would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Richie

Camber is adjusted by altering the effective length of either the top or bottom wishbone. This is normally done by turning in/out a ball joint, or rose joints depending upon how your arms have been built. Castor is built in, unless you're arms are rose jointed. If they are, the castor if adjusted by 'pointing' the arm forward or backwards by altering the joint on just one side.

A slight thread hijack, but on the same topic: Is there an easy DIY way of measuring toe in/out? Probably a dumb question

bits of string and a big ruler. And a calculator.

bit of explanation of what I did HERE

Good Luck

PS I used a digital spirit level (bought from Lidl) to set up the camber, worked very well. About 2 degrees on each side on the front if I remember correctly.
