Jaguar coilovers ?
kiwirex - 15/4/03 at 07:35 PM

I read somewhere that some of the Jags have twin coilovers at the back, and that some builders use them...

The wrecker I called said he'd do some for me for around 20quid (if I wanted 'good' shock absorbers).

Any thoughts on that?
Guess you'd have to get new springs... anyone know the spring rate on the xj6 coil overs?

I think they're a bit bulkier than the nice racing ones, and not adjustable, but if you use something like Bobs inboard suspension, you can probably get around both.

Might get a bit tight at the back end, I guess.

Thoughts?

ps. accidentally posted this to the wrong forum before, hope I've fixed that now.

Answered half my own question.
Spring rate around 160lb - a bit light.

Other thoughts appreciated though.
