I am preparing my car for its SVA.
on one side of the car i have a twist in the braded flexible that keeps it clear of the wish bones. on the other side there is no twist therefore it
touches the wish bones on lock. i tried to use cable retainers from a lawn mower to hold the pipe in position away from the suspension, but on full
lock it just pulled the clips off the wish bone (pipe to short).
is it sufficent to just put a twist in the pipe to keep it away or do i need some retention system?

loosen off one end and put a twist in.
many thanks, would it be better to cover the braiding for the SVA.

Twist is good as they only check to ensure that the pipe doesnt foul on full lock.
I put spiwrap on mine - dont know if you have to or not.
got tonnes of spiral wrap left so i will use that as well

If you have some rubber gromets these can be used so that the pipe never touches or rubs. Just cut and re superglue. This is what Dax recommend for
their cars

I had to fit stops on the rack to keep the pipes from rubbing, even wita twist, half turn, reef knot and all that, and with spirwrap on. I use a polybush either side, cut it and clipped it on.
