Hello, Im building a locost and i cannot find a suitable linkage from the steering rack to the column. Could any one advise on what donor car i need to get the universal joints off? I have a standard serria rack and column i havr tryed the serria linkage but i need an other universal joint but i cannot find 1 to suit. I have a transit 1 but that is too big and one off a 200sx but that is totaly wrong. Any ideas?

I just used the link from the sierra and extended it, can you not do the same?

I got a UJ from CalvinX last week (thanks Mark) I believe it was for a Rover (not sure which one U2U him).
Lolocost do one and so do Burtons and Rally spares (look for group 4 steering joints).
There will be a bit of welding/fabrication to do whatever you buy as they will all be for splined shafts.

Right after thinking about this. What i need is a triangle to triangle UJ. which will join onto the end of the column and then i will make a length of triangleual bar to go between the serria UJ and this new magical 1. I have thought about welding but......... Welding cast metal isn't the best idea as it is prone to cracking.
