have just assembled my pedalbox/bias link etc, have cut down the master cylinder pushrods, but the pedal is still too far forward (towards you as your sat in the car) if i cut the pushrods any more, the pedal will bottom out before full M/C travel.

can i fit a stop to prevent the pedal returning so far forward???.

any safety applications?, or
any probs with MR SVA if i do this?

You need the cylinder to open fully to allow the additional fluid in when the pads wear and fluid out when the brakes heat up.

Getting full travel on the cylinder is not important as long as you are pushing enough fluid to fill the calipers with some spare travel left.

Its not possible to test the full stroke of the cylinder when the brakes are functioning, provided they work properly you will be okay with SVA so knock a bit more off that push rod.

My pedal travel to full stopping power is about one inch. Takes a bit of getting used to after the servo assisted tintop.

Another way to change the amount of travel is to move the pivot point up or down, but this will affect leverage too.
