I have noticed that the sierra CV boots are a complete pig to change if you get ford ones. And I think I will change mine as a matter of course while cleaning up and painting the driveshafts.

The stretch ones seem like the way to go as they can be put on without dismantling the CV joint, they arent that expensive either.

Anyone tried putting them on without buying the stretching cones to fit them? Will they stretch over something like the top of a lemondade bottle?

....an if your struggling I have a homemade stretcher cone you can borrow near Cov.

we usually put the boot in hot water for a good few minutes,and use plenty of the lube

David let me know when you are going to be here building and I will bring the cones to you.
