Bolt marking ?
givemethebighammer - 19/6/06 at 08:56 PM

I have just bought some 1/2 inch UNF bolts for my suspension rose joints. I don't know much about tensile strength of imperial stuff. Does anyone know what these markings mean and how do they compare to metric stuff ?

thanks

Just bear in mind that a marking on a bolt head does not garentee the quality of the bolt. Anybody could put any marking on the bolt head.

What is a better guide of quality is the manufacturer and you can get a very good idea just by inspecting the threads and quality of manufacture.
