Peugeot 205 GTI 15" Wheels

I have a set of these wheels so would like to use them. I think I have covered the spigot ring issue but I am now concerned with the wheel nuts. Peugeot use wheel bolts with a flat washer. However, there is a chamfer on the wheel stud holes so I think and hope that I can use 60 degree standard Ford nuts. The obvious worry is that they will work loose.

If anybody has any running experience with this setup I should be delighted to hear. Thank you.

Cheers

John

IMHO. If the angle of the chamfer is 60 degs, as per the Ford nuts, as long as the nuts are torqued up to the correct Lbs, no problem, if none of the above applies then think again. You could have the wheels machined to 60 degs, if that is possable, not sure. Regards Ray.

NSDev has fitted these wheels, i think he turned some sleeve nuts or something down, can't remember, best try a u2u if he hasn't seen this thread..

Ned.

Thank you Chippy and Ned for your replies.

There is a taper on the wheel holes but it is so deep down that I cannot measure it. The Ford nut seems to seat well so I may try it and see.

Ned I cannot trace NSDev. Could you please check his user name and then I shall be able to see what he has done.

Once again, thank you.

John
