Gearing solution - bit drastic!!

It's gonna take a lot of work, bit should make a difference. Oh yeah, should stand a better chance of coping with future power/torque increases and it's got an LSD

Might need to narrow it slightly and get hubs drilled for ford stud pattern.

Can you get what it is yet

If its Jag, try and get a later viscous diff, the powerloc's come in with a bang and may throw you off the road !

Correct - IRS from XJS.

FD Ratio 2.88 which will bring my rpm at 70mph cruise from 3500rpm to 2490rpm.

Instant 30% reduction in revs, and (imho) about 7mpg more

The other side is it'll take my therotical top from 118 to 156mph.
