right done it.
got a clevis and together with an 8 mm bolt made an adjustable push rod from pedal to master. had to got to 3 B&Q's and 2 homebases
to get 10 mm dia steel tube (seems this is an item that is no longer going to be stocked so hurry!) - this to sleeve an 8 mm bolt as the pedal was
drilled for 11 mm;
and allows the push rod to be offest to one side so now is central to the master.
Try as as I may, I couldn't get the reservoir back into the master so used the old seals since they are sound and in it popped.
new master
Since I had to drain the system, thought I might as well fit braided hoses all round so I did.
Bled the brakes - oh, yeah start with the front ones : and they are now rock solid. I have never felt such solidity before - about 10 mm
travel for the brake pedal then soldity through and through. Had I not progressively bled and tried the brake pedal after each corner, you'd
think they we seized. Should be sixpence stopping distance.
So job done; pleased as a pot bellied pig in a vat of warm marmalede.
