You need an LSD and some bolt on shafts. You might also need bolt on shaft stub axles for your hubs.

what i meant was can you get th lsd in a 7" casing? or can i convert my internals to run lsd?

The sierra XR4x4 had a 7" LSD. These came in 3.62 ratio and some in 3.92. If you want a 3.62 or 2.92 LSD, just buy one.

If you want a lower ratio, then you can "merge" a low ratio open diff with an LSD. you need to take the differential, LS device and output shafts from the LSD and fit the crown wheel from the open diff. Fit all of this into the case of the low ratio diff (which still has the low ratio pinion) and you have a low ratio LSD with bolt on shafts. You can assemble the rest of the parts giving a high ratio open diff as a bonus.

What I was trying to say in my last post was "don't convert your diff, just buy an LSD if that's what you want."
