Today I take complete rear axle from mercedes 190.
including discs , caliper and hand brake
Seems ok.
It is good bayng for locost 442?????
With a bit of careful redesigning, you may be able to use the whole car
hmmmmmm, A lot of arms there.
I would re-design the upright to "standard" double wishbone system.
Grtz
Redesigned beacouse of weight ?
My primari intention is to avoid complex mesuring and cuting in rear axle .. weight is price .And extra is comfort , good disk brakes . I have axle
with 5 braces ,diff (ratio???) , two disks , hand brake and sub-frame with 4-point atachment.
(sorry spelcheckered english...

I worie about weight , mostly.Robustnes is not problem
any sugestion ?? ...springs ..wheels...tyre ...but depend of engin
TNX for link M.A
You will have a very heavy back with mounting the complete sub-frame.
You need also to mount different shocks and springs. The unsprung weight is nearly the same but the weight of the car will be less.
Maybe someone else can help you

Ditch the rear subframe, adapt a dedion system or make your own. Remove the struts from the front suspension and replace with similar diameter tube
with tapers welded in (like the sierra ones but much longer) - Simple

which is acceptable weight of:
diif & half axle & upper and lower arms , disks .. beairing ...all things on the rear axle exlcluding shoks and springs
I am not mesured my w201 rear axle , yet , still cleanig
