A couple of questions.
1 What would be the main advantages/disadvantages between 1.9 and 2.5 inch coil springs. Do they have the same mechanical properties??
2 Ideally on a setup where the platforms are adjustable I'd imagine that you'd want the platforms to be at there mid adjustment point at
ride height. I'm I wrong and if so why??
As always thanks in advance.
I spring is just a straight bar coiled, infact some cars, Morris Marina et al had a bar down the length of the car acting as a spring.
All you are doing is twisting the bar, a 2.5" sping will be longer so less twist per inch.
My thoughts are no difference if the spring rate is the same, I suspect that a 2.5" spring will have a longer life and be more even in use as its
longer so less stressed.
It all depends then on the quality of the material.
A larger width shock will carry more oil so would be more stable under heavy use as it will heat up at a slower rate and have a greater are to
disapate the heat.

I'm using 1.9's on mine for road use, with no problems.
