Handbrake

I'm using a Metro/Rover 100 handbrake for my Indy, because it's a much smaller and nicer item then the Sierra one (well, I think so!!).
The idea I have for mounting it would mean that the bottom of the handle mechanism sticks out about 5,5 to 6 cm into the tunnel (measured from the bottom of the top tunnel rail). Anybody know if this will give me problems with regards to clearance of the propshaft?

he's back!

I was wondering where he'd gone too

I wouldn't have thought it'll cause any problems, I've used the same arrangement but only 50mm into the tunnel, this gives me clearance fo my live axle to move up and down.

Thanks guys.
Dan, good to see it works on your car. Gives me hope! Although I think on the Indy it will sit a little lower. Firstly because I hope it won't be in the way of my elbow as much. But also because I'm trying to mount it without having to remove the metal strips that are already on the tunnel for the standard sierra handbrake.
I'll try a mockup as Calvinx suggested and see if it clears enough. If not... the grinder might have to come out
