I originally added this question to a thread in SVA & Legal but realise it's more in context here.
I intend to use a dual master cylinder system with a balance bar, is there a way of determining what bore cylinders to use?
I will be using Cortina callipers on the front and Sierra XR4x4 rear callipers. I presume it will boil down to piston areas, pedal ratio and vehicle
weight.

I'm using Cortina front (M16) and XR4x4-type rear calipers. The pedal box and bias bar came from Stuart Taylor and I bought the master cylinders
from Rally Design. The sizes recommended by ST are:-
front 0.625
rear 0.75

How did you pass SVA with the master cyls from raldes? What did you do about low level monitoring?
Carroll Smith talked about this in "tune to win"
(and they're an excellent set of books).
It's about the ratio of the diameter of the master to the diameter of the slave. Small master + large slave == lots of pressure on brakes for
little foot pressure, but lots of travel on pedal too.
Similar effects can be had by moving the <technical term> bit where the master cylinder (s) join on to the pedal </technical term> closer
or further from the pedal pivot.
ummm... Not making much sense here am I - see if you can get the book from the library.
