Hi all,
Well, after a visit up to MNR last weekend, we've settled on which car we want (VortX RTIB), still haven't decided which colour we want
(maybe black, maybe something else) but we're wondering about wheel and tyre sizes already.
The car's going to be mostly used on the road, with some track work. We're using MNR's cortina geometry with M16 calipers.
Any suggestions for whether we go for 14 inches with bigger-profile tyres, or 15 inches with lower profiles?

If I did it all again I would go 13" to be honest. Cheaper performance tyres, lighter by a mile and look good in my opinion.
You should ask MNR what they recommend to get the correct ride height and go from there.
If you go for lower profile tyres, this will improve grip but make your ride harder when you hit bumps.
You need to decide whether more grip of more comfort is an issue for you too brfore you decide.
Same for me. 13" is the way to go. way lighter, way cheaper and better to drive in my opinion.
However I had to change to 15" in order to raise the ground clearance to an acceptable level without compromising suspension geometry. My audi
engine is very tall and shortening the sump is impossible because of the placement of the oilpump.
For me the 13" also looks better on a seven for me. The cortina / outlaw (raceleda) calipers look perfect in a 13" open rim.
13" wheels are technically the best but watch for clearance if you're using sierra rear disc brakes, may 13" rims don't fit.
14" have fewer choices of tyre as it isn't a popular choice on sportscars.
15" rims are heavier in the main (OZ Superleggera weigh the same as 13"
and some complain that the side wall height is too small.
I've used them for a year now without really noticing a problem.
