Blank Steering Wheel Fitment
the moa 2 - 4/3/07 at 10:49 AM

Can anyone help me im trying to make a good job of fitting my undrilled steering wheel.

It has a centre pre marked and i need to fit it to my three hole quick release boss.

I could roughly guess and try and scribble a mark in the holes but im sure that someone with a bit of brains can tell me how to precisely mark the holes.

Lay a piece of paper over the boss and trace the holes. Cut this out and place over your steering wheel. Centre punch the holes and drill.

If you want to do it in a slightly more scientific manner.

1: Accurately measure the distance between any two bolt holes (centre to centre) in the hub, call this measurement (x)

2: Insert measurement (x) into this equation to get the bolt hole PCD:
Description
Description

3: Once you have the PCD use a pair of dividers or a compas and pencil to draw it on to the steering wheel (remember set dividers to half PCD)

4: Again using dividers set to original measurement of bolt hole centres mark these on the PCD line.

Good idea to try it on paper first .

P.S. If anybody wants to try this let me know if it works
