Anybody know the gear and diff ratios, that is in my 2.0 GL G-plate sierra? The later type haynes manual that i have seem a bit cr*p in the gearbox area.

The new manuals are not very good,i found an old one for 20p at a car boot sale as luck would have it.
according to the book,the standard diff ratio is 3.38:1 but i've found this is not always the case on late 80s cars.
rhocar is the robin hood owners site with some good info,on there they say if the diff has a D stamped on it its a 3.92:1 ratio.

As for gears
1st = 3.65:1
2nd = 1.97:1
3rd = 1.37:1
4th = 1.00:1
5th = 0.82:1
Reverse = 3.66:1

I'm not sure if the ratios changed on later cars as this is the old book,hope this is of some help
