Sierra Driveshaft splines

How many different numbers of splines are there on sierra driveshafts?
I thought there were 2 types , one with 25 splines, and one with 22.

I have just picked up a brand new diff (for nought, from a kind relative), and it seems to have 23 splines (which I've counted several times).

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Cheers Steve.

23 is correct Steve - they are the smaller type found on 1.6's (and I'm sure a few other variants) they might be worth something as I was previously after a set desperately!!!

Steve

edited to add - sorry, I misread - I thought you had the driveshafts! either way the 23 in number that you have counted is correct!

Steve - If this means that you'll have a spare 3.38, can I have first refusal? I'm after one to 'mate' with a LSD.

Unfortunately no . It's a std 3.62 open diff.
I currently have a 3.62 LSD 7.5", but want to lighten it, so was considering putting the open diff in.
