Suspension bushes too hard?
goodguydrew - 5/4/07 at 06:18 PM

I bought some lolocost suspension bushes. I have read that they are perhaps too hard.

Is this going to cause me any problems?

Thanks

For road use metalastic bushes are best

Can you tell me how wide the crush tube is please ?

It might do on the rear where there is a slight twist but the front should not be a problem.

Hi

I bought two sets from Lolocost (for front & rear IRS) and the ride is OK.

The problem I did have was that the tubes are cut on a "random" saw.
Everything is half a mil short, half a mil big, or a mil out of square.

The poly bushes are not much better. I/D & O/D are OK but the length of the shoulder varies.
I started off trying to match sets, but ended up facing all the components in the lathe to at least end up with a consistent dimension to make the chassis brackets to.

Time will tell as far as durability is concerned.
