These day's they start using Mc Phersons shoks on the front of kitcars.These needs to be verry short. Does anyone now wich car uses short Mc Phersons to use on a locost?

I believe Robin Hood use small McP struts.

Really? Thats not the sliding pillar system you are confusing?

For the original poster, Locosts use sierra mcphereson type struts with an adaptor where the strut would normally go.

Some Nissans, later Sunnys I think, use a short McPherson strut but are front wheel drive like most modern cars.

ahh, wonder if thats there attempt to turn the sliding pillar bodge into something else as an upgrade or summat.....

There's a picture here of a mcpherson struted Robin Hood.

The system looks very similar to another setup than I can't put my finger on. No sleep for me then!

I'd love to work at RH. It looks like the sort of stuff you can lash together at after chucking out time at the local. A skin full of beer, 2 bags of scratchings and then roll into the factory to weld some stuff together. Must be hilarious in there! Got to be an idea for a sitcom in that

I must agree with Mr Noodle. As a prospective Locost customer, buying a prefabbed chassis has its advantages. But sacrificing quality for no real difference in spend is fools gold. Especially if you are buying to avoid the rigmoral of welders and the like.
Now if RH or Lolocost can be honest and palm their "CNC machined" chassis off for a more acceptable price, then one might consider the aforementioned sacrifice.
Or you could opt for the MacPherson to strut your stuff. The Dilema still stands.
