went to the local scrap yard for the first time today and saw a plethora of sierra and grannys in there of various ages

so i am curious what notable things diffarentiate a type 9 from a MT75 when looking from underneath a car???

its really easy to tell.

1. The MT75 is fitted to cars late 80's on. If its pre 88 or so its not gonna be MT75.

2. The MT75 is aluminium, and has a lot of external ribbing. The type nine is smooth outside.

3. The type 9 has a bolt on bell housing. The MT75 is all one piece.

Someone's personal website has pics of them both. I'm sure the owner will post a link any time now...!

The MT75 shown is a 4wd version I believe.
