this is the Alfa 164 ball joint. As a few people know, it fits the sierra perfectly.

To fit it in place of the standard Maxi ball joint, i had to redrill 1 hole - to fit using only 2 bolts ( as per the original maxi ).

What do people think? does it look safe ? - the original maxi used only 2 bolts - ok, the alfa has drillings for 3 but the maxi only had 2.

looks ok,what about the length of the taper,is it any better than the extinct maxi type ?

Why not just drill the third one.

well, the ball joints come from this thread - the guy says you need two washers and then its a gooden.

it has the advantage of not needing the sierra hub to be re-drilled.

re- drilling the third hole - i will drill it - do you think it will weaken the wish bone at all?
