Wheel Nuts
MB - 30/8/03 at 07:46 PM

For fitting my alloy wheels I have been advised that I should use "special" nuts. They have got rotating sleeves so when you tighten them up, they don't scratch your wheels.

Thing is, they cost £4 each not much, but when you multiply that by 16 it seams a bit expensive for wheel nuts!

Do people think these are needed, and if so where can I get them from for less than £4 each (ford dealer price).

Lolocost used to do them, but have discontinued them....

What kind of alloys are they?

RS or Laser alloys use a special type that are about a quid each from Rally Design and others

Cheers

I got wheel nuts and studs from Trackstore. Quick service and the wheel nuts all cost about £1.50 each.

The avarage sierra ghia in any scrap yard has 16 fitted as standard, probably free if your ovaries have deep pockets
