i have a mcyl with 2 outlets and non servo, cortina fronts and rear drums on escort axle...................brakes shite!

I dont have a bias valve or anything in the brake line to control front to rear braking ratio.

My front wheels lock up at the drop of a hat and i have never..........and i have tried.........managed to lock the rear wheels up.

This says to me that there is way to much force exerted at the front and not enough at the rear. Is it worth me getting an in line bias valve and altering the ratio or is the way to go down the new mcyl route?Cheers

Or perhaps a 10lb residual pressure valve in the rear circuit, to stop the brake cylinders returning too far?

If i am going to the hassle of putting something in the brake line anyway would it not be better to go the whole hog and put a bias valve in?

I have never heard of a reidual pressure valve, does that just keep a constant 10lb (or what ever rating you have) on the brake cylinder?

Are these standard items on production cars? if not any idea on cost compared to a bias valve.
