rell - 17/9/03 at 02:56 PM

Im looking for double adustable dampers (bound and rebound as well as hight)
for my locost.
all so can eney one sagest a good spring rates for both road and track days.

i was going down this path, but being quoted £150+ per damper + springs +vat on top i'm going to go for single adjustables, most around £300 set inc springs...

trakspax are what you want i think, though have a hefty pricetag...

Protech do a very decent set. MK prefer them to AVO.

All Ally and fully adjustable...

Have a gander in my Archive at em... mmmm (how sad!)

They too are around £300

Saw the protech ones at MK's stand at Doni, if they work as well as they look then they are a bargain

Is there a palce in web where you can order them (I live quite far from UK )?

Sorry,

To avoid any confusion I just wanted to clarify for everyone. the mk/protech jobbies are adjustable for both bump & rebound, but are only single adjustables as both settings are combined on the one screw adjustment. this is the case for most of the £300 range shocks I've seen with the exception of gts's which are only ride height adjustable (they are preset valving/damping wise - but are cheaper)

As Tigers says, does anyone know where else protechs can be bought? I'm not building an Indy so I'm sure the Indy ones wont fit because of the wider track.

Rally Design sells GAZ shocks very reasonably, pick your size:

http://www.raldes.co.uk/

I will probably buy from them even though I am in the USA.

Yeah, and the freight charges. Adjustable coilovers are expensive in the States. Champion Motor Cars has a set of adjustable shocks w/ springs for $625 (about GBP420), but you get no choice of length or (I think) spring rates.

Nice gauges, btw
