Ive tried to bleed my brakes and found that the 3way unions on the front and the back both leak. Ive started off by tightening them, failed, re-doing
the pipe flarings, also failed. then i had a look into the union itself and noticed that the end in concave instead of being convex like the tip of my
flexi hoses and the master cylinders. Therefore the flaring has nothing to wrap around. Is this correct or should there be convex ends to the 3way
union?
any help appreciated.
Get a mate to make a new pipe up or put a double flare in if you have room on the length.

Hi.
I fitted a tee to my system that I bought separately from the local Ford garage.
After remaking the flared ends on my copper pipes (twice) it dawned on me that the threads were bottoming before the flairs were crushed.
I sanded 2mm off the tee ends and refitted the pipes and they were fine, a thread to spare on the male fitting.
It maybe worth checking.

Thanks Iank. Paul I did the same and also put a larger flare one behind the other. It was that long ago I noticed one of my TRE is perished and the
car aint moved yet.

Before too much more misinformation gets posted this is the situation.
In this case what is wrong the wrong tube nuts have been used metric male tube nuts come in two lengths for the Tee connection the longer type is
required.
See http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.eu/VWP-onlinestore/brakepipe/brakes.php
Standard metric flare for a male tube nut fitting is a single flare eg. convex.
Standard metric flare for a female tube nut is a double flare eg convex+concave.
Exception exist to this rule but usually only in specific cases for example For example Escort live rear axles on which both rear brakes are bled
through one bleed nipple.
