can someone measure the distance between the slider bolts on teh Sierra 260mm caliper?

i want to know if its possible to fit it on my Escort Cosworth caliper bracket, and i cant wait until i get down to the kit car tomorrow to do work on it.

does the bracket you have contain the pad locating grooves?

I would have thought that bracket determins the type of pad you will be able to use due to the cut outs on the back plate of the pad itself matching the profile of the ones on the slider.

The 260mm Sierra pad uses different shaped ends and also the overall length of the pad is larger on the cossie so although the holes may line up its looks like the pads may not fit inside them.

Looking at it the bottom part of the pad location is the same, the upper part where the end of the pad slots fits against the caliper is wider on the cosworth setup.

Shameless plug for work too lol Rescued attachment DSC00942.JPG

ok, next question is....

if its a shameless plug for where you work, does your work do reconditioned calipers ( the Escort Cosworth ones - trailing ) at a good locost forum rate?

and yes, the bracket does have the groves for the pads, but i thought that the caliper does not, the top groves are not used , so i might be able to use the escort cosworth pads with the sierra caliper?

I work for black diamond brakes but we dont do calipers sorry.

the edges of the calipers are usually used for locating the inner edges on the upper part of the pads of the pads. You might get away with some butchering of the pad

have you tryed the caliper mounts on the car cos i did a big boo boo with mine
ive fitted 2wd cosworth front hubs and 4x4 cosworth rear hubs i then got an old xr4x4 to get the calipers off but i reconded them befor trying them on the car to my annoyance the calipers did not fit the hubs so had a full set off shiny caipers that did not fit my car so make sor you do check it and dont dive in like i did

right, i tried today...

the caliper carriers bolt up fine - i knew they would.

The sierra caliper does bolt on to the carrier, and the sierra pads would fit on the carrier, however, once the caliper is bolted to the carrier, there is not enough room between the carrier and the caliper where the groves are...

so im gonna have to get the calipers from the sierra 4x4 / escort cosworth too...
