Anyone know what size/lengths of braided hoses I require for front end of standard locost? Supplier/part number would be nice
I think you have to get em made up specially.
In fact thats what I did just last week.
I used Merlin Motorsport.
costs about 6 quid an end and about 5.50 per metre of pipe.
In english, thats about 16 quid for a typical (600mm in my case) front hose.
MAKE SURE that you get the swaged end type. The reusable push the hose in the fitting type dont comply with SVA.
Also, for the bit that goes to the body, specify a 'bulkhead' fitting and make sure the nut is provided to you can mount to the chassis.

This may seem a silly question, but it is something that has been bothering me for a while.
If you use Braided hoses, can you still clamp them for bleeding?
Does it effect the braiding when you clamp them?
Terry
You can't clamp them - the teflon core tube is hard-walled and will break (presuming that you actually managed to flatten it!)
DJ
And why would you want to clamp when bleeding? Defo bad practice to do that.
