Hey all
I've been having a bit of a drama with my front hubs! and my MNR cortina uprights,
as they use escort stub axels. so my cortina hubs didn't fit due to the bearing spacing is too wide.
so i've finally got hold of a set of escort mk1 hubs.
now the bearing spacing is correct BUT the rear dust seals won't fit over the end of the stub axel, it's to small
but the cortina one does but they are different size so i can't swop them over.
anyone know if the dust seals come in diffrent sizes?. also to make sure i have the right hubs anyone know the dust seal size?
here's a pic
cheers

god you fair made this hard on you're self (see I got that right ) (ignore me it's about something else)
Have a look on James Walker

Ford did not actually make any seals but just bought off the shelf items.

Hello John,
The oil seals supplied by MNR for their hubs are 55mm O.D. and 38mm I.D.
What O.D./I.D. are your escort ones?
Looking at your escort hubs there looks to be enough material to have the diameter increased for a larger oil seal, or alternatively it would be
easier to have your stub axle turned down to fit the standard escort hub seal.
Hope that helps
Stu.

Thanks for the link mr whippy
Stu' thanks for the measurments
my escort seals are 52mm O.D and 36mm I.D
my cortina ones are 55mm O.D and 38mm I.D
now thats escort mk1, now would escort mk2 be the same!? if so, then looks like these uprights/stub axels will only take ali hubs

no you didn't.
it's yourself
you're means 'you are'. the apostrophe represents the missed letters.
unless you were joking......in which case it backfired.
