I've been offered some spax adjustables, 14"/11" front, 12.5"/10.5" rear with 190 & 350 lb springs.
I've consulted the book and my plans for the IRS and I think they should fit.
Anyone got any comment/advise/things to check before I spend my hard earned...
cheers,
Ned.

sounds good. check for usual stuff like leaking fluid, siezed bits or excessive rust.
You should check the front shock lengths carefully as these are very long at 14". It would probably result in a higher than normal ride height to
get enough bump travel.
I would suggest making up rods of this length and seeing what happens to the ride height at the front. You should be looking at around 4.5-5"
ride height.
Kind regards,
Darren
As Doz - front seem very long!
Thanks for the comments, if the front prove to be too long I guess I'll just modify the pick up point a little to accomodate. These are comming
off a zetec westfield so I can't imagine they'd be too problematic to fit, the chassis' aren't that different!
thanks again,
Ned.
I managed to knock him down a bit, but i'll be getting some different length and size springs....

i would say bargain
make em fit
Hmm, i think you've got the sizes the wrong way round (unless i've misread) the 14" are the rears. They attach my live axle (i've
got the avo versions) at the same height as the axle bracket bolt and look okay (although i'm still building).
My fronts are more concerning cause they seem to have to little movement from open to closed.
my front wheels can only move through 4 or 5 inches, so im in the same boat. should be enough i think if im gentle on speed bumps!
Ned, summat to note, if they are off a Westfield, the mounting holes in the shocks will be 7/16 UNF, as opposed to the 'normal' size of 1/2
UNF.
JoelP, 4 inches of travel either side *should* be more than enough, even for Britians roads...
HTH Stu.
i certainly hope so! around 2 inches of that gets used taking the weigh of the car, so only 2 or 3 left. If it is too little i will just turn the springs up a few times to raise it again.
