i have just pulled a 2ltr pinto from a grandad but i have noticed that it has rear disks can any of this back end be used
i have a sierra drum brake back end at the moment
if not the lot is about to be scraped so if any of it is of use shout up

Bear in mind the Granada is probably 5 stud.
You might be able to switch the hubs etc. around- ask ChrisW!

You can't. The Granny bearings are much bigger. Just get the calipers and the diff if it's LSD. Rest is junk unless you want to go

You can change the 5 stud flnge to a 4 stud flange but it has to come from an XR4 ( i think anyway )

i already have a sierra back end the tripod type will the lsd dif acept the half shafts with the splines
if so it will be worth taking the dif out

if i get to the stage where im trying to find nice 5 stud wheels, it means i have passed sva and the car is on the road.
I can deal with that problem!
at the worst, i could re-position the studs on the hub flange for the 4 stud spacing - the actual centralisation of the wheel is done by the centre
bush thingy. This wouldnt be the biggest hassle I have had on the car......

I have a Granada Scorpio back end. The diff is the same 7" diff as on a Sierra (non-Cosworth) but with Lobros, not tripods. I believe this is the
same set-up as on disk-braked Sierras...certainly when I bought a new caliper it was the same part number as for a Sierra (again, not Cosworth).
I didn't want 5-stud wheels, so I simply swapped the drive flanges for a pair from a Sierra. Incidentally, the splined part which the drive
flanges slide onto was originally used with ABS on the Scorpio, but I just left the sensors off. Nothing fouls; it all fits. Pics

Just spotted this post. Here goes then.
The 5 stud flange can be replaced with a 4 stud one from any Sierra which has rear disks with lobros joints (6 bolted CV's).
ie any 4x4 Sierra (not sure about cosworth) and late model Scorpio's
The drive shafts from the Granada are about 3/4" longer than the Sierra ones.
I have both types in the garage will get some pics and sizes when i dig them out.
