Hi all, how can I extend / widen the sprocket shaft on my zx9r eng?
In the early stages of a trike design 2 front 1 rear on getting a the sprocket on the rear wheel and the engine is why the engine sprocket needs to be
extended outwards?
Thanks
Also whats the easiet method to remove?

I don't really understand why you want to extend or widen. I wonder if it may need balancing if you alter it too much??
Anyways, chuck a piece of wood between the sprocket and the block so it bites and sticks, whack it in gear, big bar, job done!
P.S. I doubt it will be any use but I have a spare sprocket off a ZX12. If you think it'll be any use you can have it for nowt.

I need to extend the sprocket because the trike is rear wheel driven via the chain and the rear sprocket it outbound more than the engine sprocket.
thanks for offer on zx12 sprocket but not needed as iam using a 13 tooth and a 54 rear..
Cheers
If you really want to do this go research what the drag bike racers do.
Why not move the engine over a bit instead? At the very very most it'd 5" over for a 315 tyre v the 200 tire it'd go round on the
bike.
Its early stages you said.
I don't really understand how it is much different from when it's in the bike? Unless you went for a much wider rear wheel, in which case as above I'd say shift the engine over a bit as I would have thought changing the output shaft would be tricky.
