I bought some of the adjusters from ebay a while ago ready for my winter lay off and have just started to have a look at them.

My existing bones have a threaded piece of tube welded inside the main tube for the joint to screw into.
When I ordered the camber adjusters I had no idea of size but as they fit the same joint I thought there was every chance they would work just fine if removed the existing threaded bit which was welded in.
(hope this makes sense)
I've now had time to weigh it up and the adjusters appear to be 21.5mm OD, the ID of the tube on my bones is 23.75mm (measurements are approx using my cheapo digi calipers)
This gives just over a mm clearance all round. I know they are nipped up with the lock nut but IMO this is too much slack. Anyone else have an opinion?
I'm now looking at three options
1) Leave the bones as is and sell on the adjusters. (be a bummer to do this)
2)find some tube for a sleeve to weld in to take up the slack, where can I find some tubing with and OD of 23.75mm? I don't suppose the inside has to be spot on as i can reem it out to fit.
3)Use some 3/4" copper heating pipe or find similar pipe in a different material, cut a slit down its length so it will spread and go over the adjuster and take up the slack, I have tested this and it is a really snug fit.


Any thoughts / opinions?

Get the right size all round, not worth bodging it for it to let go mid corner on a mountain pass with a 3 mile drop on one side
