i am just about to sort out my peddle box i have a sierra one as was going to modify as per the avon book
but looking at the book it looks shit
what other options are good and cheap
cheers dave
i was gonna use the sierra pedal box, but i couldnt make it fit well and the clutch cable support was in the way.
i ended up simply making pedals and welding brackets straight to the car, without using a box as such. seems ok but the proof of the pedals in the
driving...!
BTW, i made the clutch and throttle bottom mounted and the brake top mounted, not sure why but thats how it is!
I used the sierra set up, it went in a treat. Take out the central pivot bar and cut the cluth bush in half, swap one half of the bush and put it on
the other side of the clutch pedal. Cut off the clutch cable guide tube, drill a new hole lined up with the quadrant and reweld the guide. Cut a slot
in the inboard side of the clutch pedal, tuck the side of the U shaped pedal inwards until you have 1/4" clearance on the tranny tunnel and
reweld.
Remove the servo, save the brake rod with the ball end, bolt the master cylinder where the servo was mounted - job done
Make a bracket to hold the accelerator pedel where you want it and bolt it up.
It was one of those jobs where everything worked first time, no hitches or problems - A real satisfying day on the seven

hello mark nice job
did you straighten the peddles as mine are dog legged

Left the pedals exactly as uncle henry made them except for the cut in the clutch pedal

As this is my second car I have gone for a brake bias bar system from ST . The other car had a tendancy to lock up to easily on the front. St are well made and the float switches can be got from fiestas in the scrappys.
float switch ????? whats one of them and what is it doing in your brake system?
Brake fluid level sensor in the resevoir. You won't get through SVA without it.
Oh yeah, obvious, for some reason i thought it would be a switch in the brake line itself.....
Is anyone using a brake balance bar?
