Wheel Choice
Daddylonglegs - 12/9/08 at 10:08 AM

Just to releive the stress of sourcing bits, re-welding c***-ups etc, been messing around on the 'pute for some inspiration.

I have one set of 14" wheels and my son has offered me another set of 16".

Any comments on which would be best?

14" are the bottom one in the piccy.......(Piccies now later in this thread because I'm incompetent!...)

dats because you've not copied the whole web address...

missing quite a bit there, should end in .jpg

I just tried adding an attachment when I created the thread (using the 'browse' option at the bottom.

It seemed to work last time I tried to add a picture?

the browse thing is for pictures that are on your computer, not live web information. You can see from the address that its the internet, for that you need to use the button below and then add the address into the window, then it will show in the post. Though don't insert the whole web page, just right click on the image and go to properties, there you'll see the web address and can just copy it though remember for long ones it should end in either jpg or gif, never mind we've all got to start somewhere...

you want 13" or 15" anyway

14" is ok, execpt for the lack of tyre choice, which is why 13" and 15" wheels tend to be the most popular.

It's often suggested that anything bigger than 15" is too large/heavy for such a light car (and they are look rather silly unless on a Viento IMO).

I don't think that is the problem. I've put pictures up b4 using the attachment option and it automatically put the pictures in my archive. But this time, I tried putting the picture in my archive and although it uploads it won't let me view it.

Think I'll try another method of saving the piccy I want to upload.

Right, I'll try again......

Not that it seems there's much point in considering the 16" by the sound of it

16s are definitely dead in the water since they fit a corsa.

vauxhall fitment is 4x100, et 49, ford is 4x108, et38.
