I have a VW passat radiator which has two pegs at the bottom, I presume these slot into mount holes (no fixing) My question is will they be rubber mounts?
Do they need to be rubber mounted?

Second question, the hose connections seem to have some sort of star ribbing behind the initial connection. Do i need to cut these plastic bits off to allow a secure connection or do i have to use passat connectors?
